“Here’s a simple 9-minute history and introduction to hashtag#systems science that I presented at Joshua Sutherland‘s INCOSE IW session, “Research Snapshots 2025–Systems Engineering Scientific Foundations.” I talked about how to move from hashtag#systemsthinking to systems knowledge and systems literacy. During the same session, Gary Smith, president of the International Society for the Systems Sciences, emphasized its importance for systems engineering practice and called for collaboration. Javier Calvo-Amodio, Ph.D., F.ASEM presented on applications of category theory. Impressive progress!
