Top ten most read posts on the Systems Community of Inquiry in 2024

  4. Conscious Purpose versus Nature – Gregory Bateson holding steady… glad this one keeps getting read!
  5. Implementation of Systems Thinking in Public Policy: A Systematic Review – Nguyen et al (2023) a new entry
  6. Gregory Bateson and the Counter-Culture (sigh) posted 2019, number 10 last year, complete with pirated cartoon
  7. Ackoff’s lift and Rory Sutherland’s fantasy… posted 2020, new entry
  8. Taxonomies of the unknown – Kerwin’s Map of Ignorance (1983) an interesting one – new entry too
  9. Waves 2024: Why complexity matters – Nora Bateson and Dave Snowden hosted by Sara Lindeman
  10. Biocentrism – Robert Lanza

What this shows is perhaps (with views here from 1,211 to 205) this isn’t super widely read – though a couple hundred at least get it by email. Views are down 18% year-on-year, possibly fewer updates, most likely due to the ability to automate posting in various Facebook groups having been taken away (Facebook still the biggest referrer). Makes me regret that – and the same for LinkedIn groups, gone many years ago!

…then what you see is a bunch of people googling for ‘classics’, and just a touch of me (and m’colleague @daviding) – which is probably as it should be…
